Only In the Philipines

In the Philippines if you work overseas, you are well-known.
If you ask a child on what his dream is, for sure his answer is to work abroad.
It really is alarming.
Almost every Filipino wants to work abroad.
Basically for greener pasture.
Though a sad reality, but that is the situation of our country today.

Filipino Overseas Worker: Alien to his own Country

It is so alarming that the Philippine government is encouraging its citizens to work abroad just so they can contribute in developing our economy.
Yes it is alarming because there will come a time that Filipinos will no longer live in this country.
Foreigners will take over.
I believe if this trend will not change, my hypothesis will come true.
I myself is sad because I don't want my children to be alien to their motherland.
I love this country as much other Filipinos do.
So please stop this kind of stuff.

Filipino Overseas Worker: A Hero

I believe that Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) are heroes on their own right.
They are heroes because they sacrificed many things just so they can give their respective families the things they needed.
They are heroes because they sacrificed to see the happy moments of their families.
They are heroes because they sacrificed not to be beside their children when they are sad.
And most of all they are heroes in its literal meaning because many of them died and have suffered so much.
My salute to the Filipino overseas workers (OFW).

My Uncle is an Overseas Filipino Worker

Today I went to NAIA 2 to assist my uncle who will be going to Vancouver, Canada to work as an overseas Filipino worker.
It was a sad goodbye, but more than that it was a sad reality for the many Filipino workers.
A reality that the Philippine government is even proud that many Filipinos are going abroad to work in order for them to survive.
How pitiful our government is.
The line of thinking of our government officials is so unbelievable.
Instead of motivating its citizens to work here in order for us to grow and develop as a nation, they are the ones who are encouraging that Filipinos work abroad.
So sad.
Until when this reality ends?
I hope sooner than what we all expect.
